Buell done

I have ridden this a little bit.  It is interesting . . . . . . Unfortunately, I am not built correctly - read too old and fat - to ride it comfortably for long.

And, the way the motor is mounted, hung, etc makes it vibrates a bit . . . . . well, more than a bit . . . . . in the clipon Z bars.
So I gotta, wanta sell it or change it some or alot to be able to ride it.
More later.

More today.  Another ride.  Still for sale.

Triumph 650 pre-unit for sale

Yep.  I want it gone.  Gone to someone who will use and ride it more than I do (don't).
It is Wisconsin titled to the frame.  The frame is a 1952.  The motor is a 1951 650 so not matching.  I ran it about a month ago and rode it a bit - it starts, runs, shifts, stops - does all the stuff a 62 year old motorcycle should do.

THIS GOT SOLD

Frame for a friend

Older 45 frame.
Now, there's nothing wrong with chopping a frame - as long as you do a decent job of it.

But this is NOT a good job of it. So I cut it apart, put it back where it used to be, and rewelded it.

Now, the friend, and the frame, are happy happy happy.

Well, it's a start for the FXR.

Got some of the "stuff" removed or switched out trying to get this FXR back to what it should be.

The footpeg mounts seem to work swell.

1" forward of stock mid controls on the right side and 1 1/4" ahead on the left.

Who says it's not good to have an extra inch sometimes ?

Next step will be Supertrapp exhaust, probably an S&S carb, Works shocks on the rear, and . . .

New FXR - gotta fix it

If you DON'T know what is wrong with this first picture of an FXR front tire, you might as well skip this post.

Nice 93 bike, only 22K miles.

Only problem was the DPO thought it was for . . . . I don't know.

After riding it home, I could tell why it had that problem.
forwards
windshield
those bars
and some more

My problem is I can't just do it the easy way. Mids - no problem. I just wanted an extra inch of room. There's nothing wrong with having an extra inch sometimes, is there ?
That's a right side peg/brake pedal mount slid forward an inch and out 1/2".
Left side's no problem - will also be forward and out.

Stand by for more about this kit.

Buell on the ground . . . . . . . .

finally.
No. Not 100% done, but close to it and awaiting a couple more parts. Just had to move it to accomplish something else.

The pics do not do the paint any justice.
Thanks again Terry.

Now, to work . . . . . .
